Stewardship challenges us to act differently in how we use these gifts (time, talent and treasure) to benefit others and to serve the Kingdom. This vision speaks into every aspect of our lives, inviting us to be thankful, generous and accountable for what we have been given. Stewardship at Sacred Heart Over the coming days, weeks and months you will come to see just what is going on in the Sacred Heart Community (Sacred Heart Parish, Sacred Heart Primary School and St. Peter Claver College) and the numerous ministries that are thriving. These people are living a life of stewardship. That is to say, living their baptismal call to recognise their God-given talent, receiving it with gratitude, cultivating it responsibly, sharing it in justice with others and returning with increase to God More information will be made available, on what it means to live your life in stewardship. Stewardship is not just a Sunday thing, it encompasses our daily life. Currently the Sacred Heart Stewardship Committee has been working on ways of identifying ministries currently in operation in the Sacred Heart Community, as well as the process of educating the community in Stewardship. We meet on a monthly basis, but our term is nearly up and we are looking to the next term and what that will entail. Watch out for a call to join our growing number of stewards.
